Privacy Policy for Voxa AI Note Taker
Effective Date: 14 April 2025
Last Updated: 14 April 2025
At Voxa AI, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we
handle your data when you use our iOS application ("App") developed and
published by Behçet Kutay Zeki, under nexgenapps.xyz.
By using Voxa AI, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Data We Collect
We prioritize minimizing data collection. We do not collect personal
identifiers like your name or email address directly.
We collect the following types of data:
-
User-Provided Content: Audio recordings, text notes,
YouTube URLs, and any other content you explicitly provide for
processing by AI features (transcription, summarization, quizzes,
etc.). This data is used solely for providing the requested feature
and is typically processed ephemerally (temporarily).
-
Technical Information (Non-Personal): We collect
anonymous technical data such as device type, iOS version, app
version, crash reports, and feature usage statistics. This helps us
improve app performance, diagnose issues, and understand user
engagement.
-
Subscription Data: To manage subscriptions, we use
RevenueCat, which handles subscription status linked to an anonymous
user ID generated by RevenueCat and your App Store account. We do not
directly access your Apple ID payment details.
-
AI Processing Data: When using AI features, your
input data (audio, text, URL) is sent to third-party AI service
providers (e.g., OpenAI, speech-to-text services) for processing.
Their handling of data is governed by their respective privacy
policies. We strive to use services that prioritize privacy and
minimize data logging.
2. How We Use Your Data
-
To Provide App Functionality: Processing your inputs
(audio, text, URLs) to deliver transcriptions, summaries, quizzes,
flashcards, etc.
-
To Improve the App: Analyzing anonymous technical
data and usage patterns to enhance features, fix bugs, and optimize
performance.
-
To Manage Subscriptions: Verifying subscription
status via RevenueCat to unlock premium features.
-
To Provide Support: Using technical information if
you contact us for help.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only when necessary for
app functionality:
-
AI Service Providers: Input data (audio, text, URLs)
is shared with third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) for processing.
We do not control their data practices beyond what their terms allow.
-
Analytics Services (Firebase, Mixpanel): Anonymized
technical and usage data is shared for analytics and crash reporting.
-
Subscription Management (RevenueCat): Anonymous user
IDs and subscription events are shared to manage purchases.
We select third-party services carefully, prioritizing those with strong
privacy practices.
4. Data Retention
Your notes and associated content created within the app are stored
locally on your device or in your personal iCloud storage (if enabled),
under your control.
Data sent for AI processing is handled ephemerally by our systems and
the third-party providers where possible. We do not retain copies of
your raw audio recordings or full transcripts on our servers after
processing, unless necessary for specific features you activate (and
this would be clearly communicated).
Anonymized analytics data may be retained for longer periods to track
trends.
5. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect
the data we handle. However, no system is 100% secure. Data transmission
relies on standard secure protocols (HTTPS).
6. Your Privacy Choices
-
Microphone Access: You grant microphone permission
only when actively recording. You can revoke this in iOS Settings.
-
iCloud Sync: You can enable/disable iCloud sync for
your notes in the App Settings or iOS Settings.
-
Subscription Management: You manage subscriptions via
your Apple ID account settings.
-
Data Deletion: Deleting the app removes locally
stored data. For deletion of account-related data (like anonymous IDs
used by RevenueCat), please contact us.
7. Children's Privacy
Voxa AI is not intended for children under 13 (or the relevant age in
your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from
children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted on this page
and/or notified within the App. Continued use after changes implies
acceptance.
